Alfajores are a South American shortbread cookie, traditionally filled with Dulce de Leche (Milk Caramel). The Alfajor originated in Andalusia, Spain during the Moorish Conquest of the Iberian Peninsula and has many cousins in Latin America specially Peru and Argentina. Alfajores La Mision are made by hand using a centuries old family recipe. All of our Alfajores are made to order, without preservative, and are lard free. Just like our Tia Tita taught us to make them. We normally do not ship on Fridays or Weekends, to assure our cookies don't sit in a HOT transfer point.
